3rd Trimester

Does anyone know where I can find these?

I take pictures and my clients are always asking if I have the huge flowers on crochet hairbands for infants. I know that I can buy them online but has anyone actually seen them in a store?

  • Your clients expect you to supply the headbands? Weird.

  • The Once Upon a Child in my area has them.  I think it's really up to the parent's to bring them if they want them in a shot but that IMO.  I weird and have a germ thing (this is ridiculous, I know, but it's just with certain things) Embarrassed

I have just started hearing about these things but apparently they are a wanted item in newborn photography. I wouldn't say they expect me to supply them they just ask if I have them because I have a slew of other props.

  • I saw them at Claires - not sure if you have those down where you live...but I would assume most "girly" accessory stores (in malls) would have them.  (I think those stores have websites - so you could check out the website before heading down if you don't live close by)

You could also get plain stretch headbands, run to a craft store for some ginormous flowers and glue 'em on...

    ;o)

  • I have seen them in smaller local baby shops and i saw some at the hospital gift shop.

Why wouldn't they? Don't places, like at the mall, have props? Why would this be any different?

To me, a headband is an article of clothing, not a prop.

This!  Plus a child is wearing it on their head.  And all I have to say about that is school age kids and lice.  Told you I was weird!

I get what you are saying but these are only gonna go on newborns...aged 2 weeks and under. Not really worried about lice at that age :)

  • I bought one from Hobby Lobby.

Yep, if you only shoot newborns...the school age girls love those headbands too, or their mommys do!  I'm just a freak about some germs and my newborn is the last person I want sharing hair things!
