HELP similac

My son takes similac sensitive and now with  the recall what should he take? What brand?  please help any milk product he gets sick.... AHHH The doc doesnt open for 2 more hours and he needs to eat.

Re: HELP similac

  • As far as I know Similiac Sensitive is STILL a milk based formula --not soy.  But if i were you I'd probably just switch to the similiac sensitive ready to feed until you talk to your doctor about what brand they recommend switching to.  That's what we did for my DD last night--she's on the ready to feed until I go out today return all the powder we have--we're going to switch to Enfamil.

  • You could switch to Target's Up & Up brand.

  • Are you sure your cans are on the recall list? Not all lot numbers were recalled.  My similac sensitive cans were not on the list.  (I had to google to get the list b/c the similac.com site is not working, probably too many people trying to get on)  However, the ready to feed cans are not recalled so you can try that.

  • The Similac website will give you alternatives, which at this point looks like going from powder to liquid. Liquid formula isn't affected by the recall.
  • Do the liquid ready to feed or liquid concentrate.
