First 2 attempts to BF= fail

So, I attempted to get my DD to latch on today using a nursing shield after 4ish weeks of giving her a bottle of my milk.  She screamed the whole time.  :o(  I am trying not to get discouraged as it was only 2 attempts but I hate to hear her cry like that.

Just wanted to vent.

    So sorry you are having a rough time...I hope LO gets back into the groove!! Hang in there- you are doing great!

    My LO did that as well so I would give her the paci and calm her down then just switch it out or my boob it worked like a charm! Now she's eating like a champ. Keep at it you are doing a great job!

    Keep up hope!! DS screamed at my breast for 6 weeks before he finally started latching and he is mostly BF now receiving only 2 bottles of formula in the evenings b/c he sleeps better afterwards. He has been BFing for almost 1 week now!!! It was a long and frustrating road but definitely worth it! What helped me was attending my La Leche League meeting, the ladies did wonders and DS latched at the meeting and has continued to latch since then.
    DS1: 8/3/10, DD1: 8/17/13, DD2: 8/13/15
    Twins lost to due to partial molar pregnancy: September 2011
