Icy Hot patch question

Hi all,

When we got up in the middle of the night to change and feed my son I was complaining to my husband that my back hurt (slept on it wrong the night before). He comes out and puts an Icy Hot patch on it. I questioned if it was okay to use while breastfeeding and he assured me it was. Then 2 minutes later he comes out and says the package says to consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding so he took it off and wiped off the area with a warm washcloth. The active ingredient is 5% menthol. My question is do I need to toss out my breastmilk because I wore this thing for a couple minutes, or is it okay to feed to my son. I havent nursed, just pumped since I had the patch on and I plan to call the doctor when they open, but thought you all might know. I can't find much online about this either. Any thoughts? And yes, I am annoyed with my husband for just assuming because it's not something being ingested it's safe to use while breastfeeding. I probably would have questioned it more, but I was super sleepy and my back is killing me!  Guess we know better for next time.
