baby on a treadmill?

I feel like this is a dumb question...but is it okay to walk on the treadmill with my 8 week old in a carrier? I use a Ergo with the infant insert and we walk outside daily.  I want to walk on the treadmill because its still super hot here, and that way i could go for much longer distances.  I am just worried about her head bobbing around...i am going to the ped. on friday, but I was hoping someone here might have advice.  thanks!!

thats a great idea! i think im going to try it! if she's too bobbly ill just put her in the bouncer

I actually tried this with my first... It didn't work very well for me bc I felt off-balance and was afraid I would fall...I would say just see how comfortable you feel doing it first, then make your decision....

I wouldnt. God forbid you fall off! it just sounds too dangerous and risky to me.

I would think your balance would be off with a baby strapped to you.  put the baby in a bouncer or wait until baby takes a nap.

Assuming you are walking at your normal pace and not running, I think it's fine.  It's no more jostling than if you were walking with her in the ergo down the street.

hmmmm....not sure how I feel. I mean, it makes sense that you'd be safe. More people fall outside than on treadmills.

My SIL wore my niece all the time while she worked out on the elliptical. That seems safer.
