Hi Ladies-
I'm seeing a huge practice in Naperville right now. There are 7 docs and I don't feel like they give me the time of day. Not that I need a midwife, but I'm feeling like I may do better with that sort of individual attention at a smaller practice. I know Rush-Copley allows midwives they have. Anyone deliver there and can give me advice? I don't think Edward is going to work for me.
TIA
Re: Help, Rush Copley, Aurora?
Thanks! Can you tell me which OB office you go to? As I said, I'd be switching from Edward so I know nothing about any OBs there!
Thanks so much! This is bothering me! LOL
Check out Rush Copley OB/GYN. They have two midwives (one is new, but was a L&D nurse at RC for 10 yrs and Noreen just left b/c of family health issues). They also have 4 OBs in the practice that are available if you become high risk and the midwives consult with them on almost everything anyways. It's nice b/c you just see the two midwives the whole time and really get to know them. I had DS with them almost 2 years ago and love Karen. Isabelle is the new midwife and I met her at my last appt., but she's just starting into appointment rotation for my next appt. next week so I'll have more time to chat with her then.
What I like is that you are seen by them alone when in labor, but there is always one of the OBs there as well since their office is attached to the hospital.
Thanks so much! Took your advice and got into a smaller office that one of you suggested. I'm very excited.
The midwives sounded great, but with IVF it seems the office wants me to see a regular doctor.
Thanks again!
Hey Cole0702, my OB is Dr. Motycka also. And I'm just as far along as you are. Maybe we'll end up giving birth around the same time! LOL
But I really like my OB, she's really gr8! Good luck!
