What is your turn around time? We had our pictures taken and i paid for the shoot and a CD of images at the same time, what is a reasonable amount of time to expect for this?
Two weeks for proofs, two weeks for your order (even if that is just a cd because I have custom printed cd's and cases). That is pretty common, and that is what I promise in my contract, although it is 99% of the time much faster than that.
Did you sign a contract? What does it say in there?
The only information in the contract i signed was the prices and length of session. Our pictures were on August 7th, I have seen a sneak peak on her blog and facebook but nothing else. Just wanted to make sure I was not expecting too much. I am going to call her if I don't get an e-mail answer back by tomorrow.
Have you contracted her at all since? Yeah, that is really insane, in my opinion, but I guess if there is nothing in the contract, what can you do? Although, I kind of give her the side eye for not having that info in her contract, too. It protects her just as much as it does you. At the very least, you would think she'd give you an update if it was taking her longer than expected for some reason.
When we did the same, the first session took just over 3 weeks to receive the edited CD, the 2nd session we received it within a week (which was faster than I would have ever expected).
I allow up to three weeks for the CD of images. Usually I have them to the client in two, but with no childcare and two kids who seem to get sick or needy when I'm my busiest, I allow for a buffer.

I hope you get something soon!
