What are you doing with?

What are you doing with your rings? Just curious. A lot of my friends had to take theirs off at some point during pregnancy.  I love mine and don't want to have to take them off, I considered wearing them on a chain around my neck if I have to, but am afraid of the chain coming off. I have also considered getting cheap "replacement" rings to wear until the swelling goes down. I was wondering what other people were planning to do?

Mine are fine for now. If I can't wear hem at some point, I will just take them off, maybe wearing them as a necklace. I won't buy replacements.

I plan on just taking them off, having them sent off to make sure the diamonds are secure and putting them in our safe deposit box untill I can wear them again.  I do however plan on buying a plain white gold band in a larger size to wear in their place just so I won't feel naked.

Hopefully I won't have to take them off. Right now I'm fine, but who knows. I will take them off if they start feeling the slightest bit tight because I had a friend who had to have hers cut off!

Thankfully, I didn't need to take mine off until I was about 38 weeks pregnant with my daughter. However, I blew up after delivery, but I could get my rings back on by 2 weeks postpartum.

If I have to take em off earlier this time, I'll put them on my necklace.

my ring is actually loose... granted, it's not an engagement ring or wedding band, but I wear it every single day, I feel naked without it. I suppose if it gets to that point I'll just take it off, it's my sorority's five point crown ring, nothing too exciting.

my fingers were swelling up and down the last couple weeks and I had just gone in to have them cleaned, the jeweler said "I had better just take them off till after the pregnancy since they were custom designed it would be a shame to have to cut them off"  When he said cut them off that was enough for me. I have a vintage plain band that has been sitting for decades in my jewelry box, it's a bit to big but I have switched to that and put my real rings into our safety deposit box.

I am hoping that DH might get me a new ring for my birthday this weekend. My right hand is bigger than my left so something I can wear as a band until the baby and then switch it to a right hand ring after. ::fingers crossed!::

I had to take mine off about a month ago b/c of heat-related swelling (they fit now, but I'm not taking any chances).  They're put away for safe-keeping, and I'm wearing a simple white gold band that I bought in Puerto Rico several years ago that was too big at the time, but fits ok now (still a little big, but not falling-off big, and no chance it will get stuck).

I'll just take them off and put them in my jewelry box.  I doubt I'll bother buying a replacement, since it'll be totally useless a couple of months from now.  I don't mind going ringless for a few months if need be.  I do check every day to be sure I can still get them off without an issue.

Occasionally my fingers swell and I wear cheap cocktail rings I have purchased for my right hand to replace my wedding set.  My hands swell in the summer heat when not pregnant but I normally don't have to wear another ring, but there have been a couple days when my wedding set has been uncomfortable so I just slip on a cheap ring and I don't feel "naked".
