Probe Covers?

So I've been wondering lately how many people actually use probe covers with their BBT.  It seems like one could go through a lot of those annoying little buggers TTC.

On a side note, I seem to have lost the instructions for my BBT during my recent move...I don't remember how it says to clean the probe when not using covers.  It seems like a stupid question, but how do you clean a digital BBT?

Light soap and water...or alcohol swab, then rinse after

I use rubbing alcohol.

rubbing alcohol or lukewarm soapy water, then rinse with cool water

I use them. I have the walgreen's bbt and my husband had some walgreens brand probe covers from his regular thermometer before we met. Walgreens bbt + walgreens probe covers= a germ free vag

I temp orally, but I would for sure always use probe covers if I were to switch to temping vaginally!  I don't have a Walgreens where I live (just moved, kinda bummed there isn't one here), so I'm not sure yet where I might go for super cheap covers.

Thanks to everyone else for the cleaning info.  I don't have any rubbing alcohol right now so it's good to know that I can use soap and water.

I always use probe covers (I temp orally). I have a BD BBT thermometer and I usually buy the CareOne Probe Covers. They are universal. If I accidentally run out of probe covers, I'll wash the thermometer with warm water and soap.
