Where do I begin looking for strollers?

My husband and I are having our first in December and are looking to buy a travel system stroller, atleast that is what I think you call it.  We want something that can easily be moved from the car and click into the stroller (vice versa).  My sister had a stroller with the BIG wheels and raved about the ease of them.  All of the big wheel strollers I find are all jogging strollers.  Not really interested in only having three wheels, would prefer the 4.  Any ideas on good brands, or stores that I could look at?

  • Best place I know of is Buy Buy Baby in Nashua. Sort of like a high(ish) end Babies R Us....they must have 10 different brands and 50+ strollers. It'll be a hike from Worcester, but worth the trip...and it's in NH, so no tax.

  • You may also want to check out Magic Beans.  (There are a few locations, www.mbeans.com)  Their selection is smaller and trends toward the high-end, but they are very knowledgeable and will let you test "drive" any stroller out on the city streets.

  • Walmart, babies r us....the snap n go is great!!
  • We actually just went to BuyBuyBaby tonight to check out the stroller that I want.  They have a super great selection there.
  • I would also suggest Magic Beans. They only offer the best of the best but they have good price ranges... mid to very high end. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable. I pretty much explained what I wanted and they were able to match me up with a stroller and I love it. Good luck ;)

  • We got our travel system at Babies R Us.

  • I went to Magic Beans in Brookline, and they had a small selection, but knowledgeable staff.  Babies R Us has neither!  Buy Buy Baby is a drive, but it's worth it to really check out strollers and car seats.  Their staff is so-so, but at least you can really handle the products and see a variety.
