I adore the name Veronica, and I begged and begged and begged my husband, and I tried to convince him how powerful it was, and what a gorgeous meaning it has, and how "Nika" is such a cute nickname, and he wasn't having it.
I have both a positive and a negative association with this name, so it's hard for me to not be biased in some way (grandmother's mn but also the name of a girl that bullied me in junior high).
Trying to be neutral...I think it's classic and not dated, not likely to have multiple girls by the same name in her class but easy to recognize and spell at the same time. Not a fan of any of the nicknames that go along with it, but otherwise it's a thumbs up for me.
Re: What do you think about the name Veronica?
I love this name. It doesn't seem dated to me at all.
This. I like V names, and I don't dislike Veronica...it's simply not my favorite. I prefer Victoria, Vivienne, and Valentina.
But I like that Veronica is not overused. If you like it, go for it!
I love Veronica!
I dislike Victoria, but only because of a negative personal association.

But I adore it. Veronica. Great name.
