Ok here is the story...
I went for my first prenatal appointment last Tuesday (I was 10w 3d). Did my history, etc no doppler too early but go do blood work and urine we will schedule and US. So US Scheduled for Sept 27 (Nuchal) and then friday at 5:20 I get a call from the Dr Office that I need to come in right away on Monday to see the doctor, get an appointment for 10:45, but no idication as to what the problem may be. So i spend all weekend freaking out and trying to figure out what could possibly be wrong.
It's almost appointment time (It's 8:15 here) but do you ladies have any ideas what they might be concerned about based on blood work/urinalysis?
I will update you when I do find out for sure...just hoping that it is something easily fixable ![]()
Re: Thoughts?
Iron deficiency would show up in a blood test, but I don't know if they would just talk about that over the phone?
What a cruel thing to do to you- I wish they could have given you some more information over the phone. Best of luck to you today.
Depending on what they tested for they may have found some issue that can affect your pregnancy: thyroid issues, an STD, etc. Or maybe your beta levels were so high they want to see if there's multiples or you're further along than you think you are.
I'm sorry they left you hanging like that- keep us posted.
I hate when they do that to you! They prob just want to charge your insurance for an appt rather than tell you over the phone. Let us know how everything's going after! GL!

Based on what I was told my bloodwork is for, I am guessing either you are rH negative, which could be a serious issue that need to be taken care of ASAP, you have an STD, low iron or another vitamin they tested for, or maybe your hCG is really high and they want to check you out. I know that's not helpful and doesn't ease fears but I honestly can't think of any positive reason they would want to see you ASAP.
Hopefully it's not a big deal and it's something they can take care of easily. And who knows, maybe it's just something dumb like they forgot to have you fill out paperwork or forgot to run some test and you are going to get in there and be like NEVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!
