Daniel Roy?

DH and I are really liking Daniel Roy as our boy name. I like Daniel becuase I think it will age well, and he wants to honor his grandfather who is named Roy.

His family is supportive and they seem to like the name. However, my family is quite outspoken about how much they dislike it. They say both names are to old and we should pick something more current.

What do you guys think of it?

I think it's a lovely name. Daniel is timeless, and Roy has personal meaning to your DH. (I also love them because they're family names for me, too!)

If this is THE name you and DH have fallen in love with, don't listen to anyone else's opinion. You should be offended by the fact that they're 'outspoken about how much they dislike it', and you and DH should put them in their place right away. Don't allow your family to pressure you- they've named their children already, and now it's your turn. I laughed when I saw this- as you can see, my last name is Roy, and DH has a brother whose name is Daniel, so this is his name! I think it's lovely, it flows really nice and Daniel is definitely NOT "old." If you both like it, go for it!!
