I heard a little girl addressed as McCall at the zoo today. Hadn't heard that one before. I actually kind of like it, but only if it's a family name and used as a mn.

Are you sure it wasn't Michal? That's pronounced similarly, and is the name of a biblical princess.
I thought that was pronounced MEE-khahw?
I guess they could get confused, but who knows with the things people are using as names today.
I think I've only heard it pronounced "ih" (typical Anglocizing...), but since it's by no means a biblical name in the ranks of Sarah or Elizabeth, it's pretty likely people pronounce it several different ways (and differently in different regions).
