Hi!! This is a really random question but you have the cutest dog ever in your siggie!! The fluffy grey and white one sitting on the table?? My husband and I are looking to get a dog and I really want a dog like yours. What breed is he/her?? Thanks!

Re: ~albjag~
Thanks! I think they're cute too!
The grey/white one is a mutt. I fostered her mom and her and her brother for a rescue. The mom is purebred great pyrenees (as is the big white dog in my sig), the dad was probably an old english sheepdog.
Anything in particular you are looking for in a dog? Tell me a bit about your lifestyle? Do you want an active dog, couch potato? etc. Big dog, medium size? size doesn't matter? can you deal with lots of hair and drool?
I work in the animal field and help with different rescues so I can help.
If you want to know more about great pyrenees, ask me- they definitely are amazing dogs, but not for everyone.
The mom dog is about 60 lbs, golden retriever size (which is very small for a pyr), my girl Penny is 6 mos old and knee high (I'm 5'4" tall) and 40 lbs, whereas her brother is twice her size, probably as tall as my adult pyr already, definitely taller than his new home's labrador, and probably 75 lbs at 6 mos (he was 50 lbs at 4 mos)
I'd suggest going to your local animal shelter or checking out rescues. Rescues are great b/c the dogs have been in a foster home so the foster parents can get to know their personality, better match the dog to a potential adopter, and most cases the foster parents have worked on basic obedience, crate training, etc.
Where do you live? You can PM me even you general location if you want. I do know a bunch of great rescues and some good dogs in foster right now that need a good home.... amazing dogs that are already crate trained....
