Egg White Lube?

So...DH and I have been reading TCOYF and were reading about the suggestion of using egg whites as lube during the fertile window. Anyone tried this? Thoughts?

One word screams at me:  INFECTION!

Seriously, use Pre-Seed if you need/want some lube.

Yuck.  DH is deathly allergic to raw egg whites, but even if he weren't, we'd still NEVER try this.

I vote preseed too.  Actual egg whites sounds gross and pretty unhealthy.

I saw that in the book too and couldn't believe a book would actually recommend that you put that inside of your vagina.  If you aren't supposed to eat them raw, how can putting them in your vagina be OK?  I agree with PP's - heck no!

I've never read TCOYF...it really says this?!  Gross!

Now... if they have some kind of reliable data that shows it gets people KU, I'm all over that shiit.

I know! I thought the same thing as you guys...umm....can you say INFECTION? However, the book kept having stories about people getting KU because of using it! I figured maybe it would be a little less weird if anyone else on here tried it and it wasn't horrible but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Just recently started reading TCOYF.  Haven't gotten to that part yet.  Seriously, though?  That's disgusting.

And I love how she uses a wine glass to catch the egg white.  I don't know why, but that's really funny to me, lol.

Pre-seed!

People have done it, that doesn't mean it is a great idea. Huge risk of infection. If you need lube, use pre-seed.

YES....if you haven't read that chapter of TCOYF....there is a story about a couple demonstrating just how messy it can be. It may or may not involve squirting egg white across the room. You'll just have to read it yourself though. Hahaha.
