Cloth Diapering

Rate my stash

Ok ladies, we are planning on cloth diapering as soon as muconium is gone. I have 30 refolds 7 thirsties duo size 1 covers, 6 size 0 kissaluvs, 3 snappies, 6 size 1 kissaluvs, 6 thirsties duo covers size 2, 6 bg one size aio, and 1 happy hienies aio one size. I also have my wet bag, pail liner, grandma els, and a diaper sprayer as well as a cowpoke tubs of char lies soap. What do you think? I am contemplating some gmd workhorse fitteds in the newborn and small size, another 6 or so of each and a dozen of the prefolds from gmd as well in the newborn size.

Re: Rate my stash

  • What size are your prefolds?  If they are newborn, I wouldn't get anymore newborn diapers.  We had about 30 diapers and washed every other day.  I would wait to get any more bigger diapers because you won't know what will fit the shape of your baby.

this. do you have cloth wipes? they are easier IMO bc you just throw everything in one place.

it looks good to me. Save your money and buy more when your baby gets bigger and you know whats best for LO.

  • I agree with pps - if you can use the PFs on a newborn you don't need any more diapers for that phase.  Waiting to buy larger sizes is also a good idea - you'll have a better idea of what you like after you've started using your existing stash.

  • I agree with pps. If the prefolds you have will fit a newborn I think you have plenty.  I would wait and buy more one size diapers once you get into it and see what you like.

  • Looks good to me.

Kissaluvs size ones are huge, by the way.  E outgrew size 0s at about 13 lbs & she is 15 lbs now & they are nowhere near fitting her yet.  So the only thing you might need is some more dipes to bridge the gap since the # of AIOs you have won't be enough.  That is if the PFs are NB size, if they are smalls you'd probably be good.
