I wasn't that weird lady...

Ever since K was born there has been a lady walking down my street with her kid in a stroller.  I seriously saw this lady daily.  So when K was about 4 months old, we were playing in the front yard and the lady was walking by.  So I stopped her and we chatted and I said if you ever want a walking partner come on over.  I get bored walking by myself.

2 months go by and I didn't hear from her.  In fact, she stopped walking by my house completely.  I thought maybe she thought I was crazy for talking to her.  I was offended to be completely honast.  I didn't think it was that crazy.  She obvs thought I was a psycho.

Yesterday I get home from mommy and me and lunch with my grandma and there is a note on the door from her.  Leaving me her home number with an offer to walk together.

So I don't know if life got in the way, she started walking a different route, or she just decided she was lonely and maybe I am not a psycho as she thought I was but now the ball is in my court.  And I think I am going to call her on Monday but I just think the whole thing is weird, seriously, two months?!  It will be nice to have a friend in the neighborhood with a baby.  All my friends live at least an hour away and one is having a baby (tonight!  Vibes for a speedy delivery for her!) and none of my other friends have babies.

  • It was probably one of those things where maybe it was too hot to go walking, then she was busy, then she thought it had been too long, then one day she said "what the hell" and left you a note. I would go for it! I have been having a really hard time connecting with friends, even ones with babies.
