Schmoopie is what we called DD before she was born because I thought it was hilarious when I found it as a entry in one of those 10 thousand and one baby name books

 Moral of the story: Just because it's in a baby name book does not mean it's a legitimate name

Disclaimer: I love non-traditional, underused names, but find it obnoxious when parents use the "It's a real name because a baby book said so" excuse. Own it.

Oh my goodness...I started cracking up when I saw this post.  That was a nickname I used for my husband a long time ago as a joke.  I couldn't imagine someone actually using it as a name.  Goodness!
