I am sure this is asked a lot...but...
For a girl we are deciding between Sydney Ruth, Hannah Ruth, Victoria Ruth (nckname tori)
For a boy we are thinking Chase Joseph
Both middle names are family names...honest opinions?
I would also love to get some new ideas and hear what you all are naming yours!
Re: What are you naming your baby?
We went through the name book again and here are our current lists (which will probably change a few times before baby is here and we make a decision):
Boy:
Simon
Evander
Wesley
Andrew
Gage
Gavin
Malachai
Killian
Mason
Miles
Nathan
Wolfgang
Xavier
Girl:
Claire
Lydia
Julia
Leonora
Leorah
Eleanor
Jillian
Harper Aibhlin or Luke William.
"Aibhlin" is an Irish name meaning longed for and desired child.
I like all of the names you chose! Chase Joseph is cute... all of the girl names are nice but if I had to choose I would pick Hannah Ruth.
The names we chose are:
Girl- Madelyn Isabel
Boy- Benjamin James
We have had a boy's name picked out for months before we got pregnant: Nolen Floyd (after DH's two grandpas... I'm not too crazy about Floyd but his grandpas are two amazing men). However we came up with a new name to fall in love with, Owen Colby, because H's sister is pregnant and due in December with a boy and says SHE wants to use the grandpas names. (Oh really? Why wasn't it good enough for your first son? *stomps foot* She won't tell anyone what name they've picked out so we have a feeling she's going with OUR name.) Anyway, we love the name Owen and Colby is H's middle name.
Edit: We don't have anything chosen for a girl yet.
Boy: Gabriel Eli
Girl: Gabrielle Sydney
boys:
benjamin scott
nicholas edward
girls:
brenna claire
peyton nicole
We are still tossing names back and forth but here's what I Iike so far:
Abbie Renee
Kayden Robert - Robert was my grandpa's name. He was so excited to be a great grandpa, however, ALS took him from us too soon.

These are all family names, but the J names are because DH and I both have middle names that begin with J.

We're pretty stuck on Owen Dean for a boy (Dean is my dad's middle name) or Lindy June for a girl. (Lindy after DH's mom and June was DH's grandma's first name).
Eva is pronounced Ee-va. If you want it pronounced Ay-va then spell it Ava.
Eva is pronounced Ee-va. If you want it pronounced Ay-va then spell it Ava.
Right now their names are "Deduction One" and "Deduction Two".
As of last night, the boys names that we like are: Tyler Gene (Gene was my dad's name) and Rhys _?_. For girls we like Kristin Lilly (my mom's name was Lilian), or Reese _?_.
It could all change by breakfast.
We like:
James Christopher (his dad-james, mine-christopher) and
Autumn Ashley for a girl...although wondering if it's dumb that she'd be a spring baby...
*I like Hannah Ruth, it's pretty
My blog
I can't believe your SIL that is a stoming foot situation for sure, and to not tell anyone the names she has picked. Seem like annoying game playing. I love Owen and Colby.
We are having the worst time with girl names we can't agree on anything. The only one we are close to agreeing on is my Grandmother's name Naomi. For a boy we chose Waytt. I think we are skipping middle names it's too hard even coming up with first names.
I have to agree- Eva and Ava are actually two different names. Both lovely.
we also want to go with 3 names- do you know if there is a protocol for filling this out on the birth cert? is there a limit? do you just hyphenate the 2 middle names? i have a friend with 5 middle names, but then on the flip side i recall only being allowed 1 middle name on the SS card when i changed mine after marriage. just wondering!!
I like your boy name. For your girl name, I prefer Hannah or Victoria. I don't care for Sydney! Good choices though!
For us, our names are Alessandra and Alexander.
We haven't figured out middle names 100% but I want Amalia and Jacob. We need one more middle name (2 MNs here) and it will be complete.
For a girl, we have Decided Kendall Evelyn (Kendall because my mom's name started with a K, and Evelyn for my great-grandmother).
For a boy, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Aiden Michael, but BF hates it because he thinks it sounds like a girls name. Well, if we can't decide, it's going to be that. I'm the one carrying the child and giving birth. My ultimate decision.
Love your name picks! I think I like Hannah Ruth the best.
For a girl- Libby Joann. Joann is my gramma's name. And "ann" is my middle name, my aunt's middle name and my gramma's first name.
We haven't decided on a boy name yet. We thought of Caleb James. James is DH dad's name. Not sure if I'm sold on Caleb. I like Levi too.

Girl--Loretta Rose
Boy--Reed Richard (after our fathers. incidentally Reed Richards is Mr. Fantastic of Fantastic Four fame. Anyone read comic books. Yeah, DH does. Big nerd, lol!)
I love Loretta Rose!! I had a great-aunt Loretta, and I never hear that name anymore.
DH and I decided on Aidan Michael for a boy, we went with traditional Irish spelling with an "an" instead of the modern spelling of "en". If it is a girl then her name will be Sarah Raine (Rain). We have had these names picked out for a long time, way before we started TTC, mainly because SIL keeps having kids and taking our names so we had to call these way ahead of time! Good luck with your boy name!
OP I love Victoria Ruth, not a big fan of Chase Joseph, Joseph Chase maybe but for me it sounds weird.
How do you pronounce Aibhlin?
----
Boy: Zaine Elery (I like "Zane" better but I'm compromising for DH LoL)
Girl: Felicity Corinne or Felicity Jean-Anne
i love reading everyones name ideas!
we have been set on our names for quite some time.
Dalena Alexandra for a girl and Porter Joseph for a boy.
Actually, in Spanish Eva is pronounced the same as Ava.
If we have a girl she will be Aoife Louise
If we have a boy he will be Eamon James
My husband and I had these names picked out almost 2 years ago, so we are happy to finally use one!
Our Girls are: Ginevra Lynne and Annabelle Marie
Boys would be: William Allan and Ben Ray
Actually, Eva is the German spelling for it, and AY-vah is the German pronunciation... and we're German. Also, it's a family name, so I think I know how to say it. I also believe Eva Longoria Parker pronounces it the same way we do, so we're not the only ones.
