how often do you change diapers?

My prefold/cover system is going pretty well but I know that I have to change him often.  I just ordered a supply of BG's because I love the one we have and I feel like when I change him out of hte BG, the part that touches his skin, hardly feels wet.  I'm wondering if you ladies change your LO's out of BG's as often as you do with prefolds.  All pooping aside...

I was wondering the same thing. We're only on our first days of BGs. I've been changing them as often as I did with the prefolds and wonder if I could hold out a little longer.

when I moved from prefolds to BG's I definitely went slightly longer between changes (other than poop of course).  I generally change her every 2.5 - 3-ish hours

I definitely can hold out longer, but at home, I rarely do. I figure he doesn't like sitting in his own excrement any more than I would...

But if we're out and about, I do usually put on a BG or a similar diaper, so that I don't have to hassle with changing him "on the go."

We use pockets now, and BGs make up about 1/3 of our stash.  I generally change every two hours unless DD poops before the next appointed change.  I think I did have to change pfs a little more often than that, but not much.

I change her whenever she is wet/dirty unless she''s sleeping. In that case I wait for her to wake up.
