What to expect during 12 week appointment?

I know each doctor and visit is different but what typically happens during this appointment? I will be switching practices for this appointment so I don't know much of what to expect besides that we will hear the baby's heart beat.

Pee in a cup, blood pressure check, listen for the heartbeat. That's pretty much standard for a few months. If you want to do the NT scan, you'll need to schedule that for within the next week.

I just actually read on this board that the NT scan is done between 11 - 13 weeks.  I wonder if I should call the new practice and see if I can get that scheduled for my 12 week visit on the same day?

If you want it done, definitely call.
