Baby A- head way down

So this may sound silly but just have a question. I have had one child vaginally- she's 6 now.

My doc said yesterday baby a's head was soo low he barely starting checking me and the head was right there. So my question is do you think once I'm in full labor that it might not be too much pushing to get her out. Obviously we can't say for baby b, but do you think it could make the pushing not so long. I pushed with DD #1 for an hour and a half.

Re: Baby A- head way down

  • Baby A was way down with me as well probably at 32 weeks and I didn't go into labor until 36 weeks. My OB said it was because of limited room inside! I had rather large babies for 36 weeks 6lbs 3 oz and 7lbs10oz (and the bigger was baby B so she was pushing her brother down)

  • My baby A was very, very low and I only pushed through one contraction. So for me, yes, having a low baby meant not much pushing.

  • My Baby A's head was also very, very low for the last month or two and I had the same hope. Turned out, it took three full hours of pushing to get him out. :( They were my first pregnancy though; hopefully you will have better luck!
