I found out I am pregnant on the 11th and since the 12th and up until yesterday I was having severe cramps and back pain. I didn't worry too much about it because I thought it was just my body adjusting to my first pregnancy. But yesterday, I started feeling different, better actually physically. I wasn't as emotional, boobs weren't as tender and I was actually eating because I wasn't queasy. Last night I had some more cramping and today I feel even more different. I am not tired at all, or having any of the symptoms I was. Like I said, I have not bled at all. Could I have miscarried or is this normal just to have varying symptoms and cramping? I am 5 weeks by the way.
Re: Can you miscarry without bleeding?
Unfortunately it is possible, and I know this from experience.
My last pregnancy I miscarried early on (around 5 weeks) and I had really bad cramping, but no bleeding or spotting. I went to the ER to rule out ectopic. They did some bloodwork and I knew things were grim when my HCG was lower than it had been when I had it checked a few days prior.
I never actually started to bleed until almost a week later. My OB said that sometimes it just takes the body a while to realize that you're no longer pregnant.
I hope that all you're having is some growing pains, and that everything is okay with your little one.
I recommend you call your doctor right away.
I've had three mc and never bleed. The cramping, etc. could be perfectly normal... it could also, I'm sorry to say, be a sign that something isn't right.
And fwiw - don't give too much weight to your symptoms. I had nausea, sore boobs, etc. long after my mc. It takes a while for hormones to return back to normal so what you're experiencing could very well be just the normal ebb and flow of pregnancy symptoms.
GL and I wish you all the best.
I am 4w3d and have been having AWFUL cramps. I called the doctor, and they had me do blood work and an US. Today, I went back for more blood work to make sure my HCG levels have gone up.
I have heard it go both ways... but I would call your doctor just to check.
Hang in there! Believe me, I know this is scary. I am just sitting here staring at the phone.
Yes, it is possible.
But at 5 weeks, you are too early to be worrying about no symptoms.
