Baby Names

What do you think? Are these names too similar?

Before I knew we were having a boy, it was settled that if we had a girl, we'd name her Ansley Marie.

We ultimately had a boy and ended up naming him Anthony Braylon.

Now, that I think to the future and if we are one day blessed with a little girl I instantly think back to the name Ansley, but I wonder are these names just too close in the way they sound?

Ansley and Anthony?

Part me thinks that they are, but part of me doesn't care because I just love the name so much.

What do you think?

  • The styles don't seem to compliment each other IMO.  Also I don't like the alliteration or the same ending.

FWIW I love the name Fiona, but I'm giving up on that dream after 15 yrs since we are going to use an F name for this son.

Yeah, I so see what you are saying.

sucks when you have to give up on the dream of a name.

  • I really think they are too similar as well. Ansley is a beautiful name though....but I'm sure you will find a name out there that you love just as much and flows better with your son's name.
