Prepping NB stash with Rockin Green in HE washer

My prefolds should arrive today and I hope to have the time and energy to get started on prepping them.  I also have Kissaluvs fitteds, BG xs, and a few thirsties fab fitteds....along with covers.  Can they all go in the washer together?

My understanding is that the BG's and covers only need one wash and the GMD prefolds require 4-6.  What about the kissaluvs?

Last question...for now.  How much Rockin Green (hard) do you typically use in your HE washer? It recommends 1-2 Tbsp but suggests it varies by washer.  How will I know if I'm using too much?

The KL0s have a polyester core so I would not recommend prepping them with your prefolds.  Are your KL0s the unbleached cotton?  If so I would do the dipes in 3 separate batches:  Prefolds about 6 times.  Unbleached KL0s 5-6 times, BGs, Thirsties FFs & covers 1 time.  You could always wash the KL0s with your towels or sheets so you don't have to do a 5-6 washes devoted entirely to them.

For regular washings, I do:

Step 1: 

Rapid Wash (30 min)
Cold wash/cold rinse
No spin
Extra rinse
1/2 T. RG

Step 2:

Normal wash
Hot wash/cold rinse (if I had warm rinse, I would use that)
High spin
Maximum extract
1 T. RG

Dry 75 minutes on high (less if you have no AIOs) or line dry in sun.

For prepping, use the step 2 directions.  We had some smell issues and this is what I came up with during experimentation.  Now we have fresh diapers!
