Hi ladies. My husband & I are adopting, and I am starting to look into peds and childcare. The trick (with childcare anyway) is we don't know when we'll need it!
I am open to centers, someone coming to our home or in-home providrers.
Would like a ped in the NW metro, but who is affiliated with Children's. (If those even exist!)
Basically I don't know where to start or what I'm doing. Ha.
Re: Give me your recs!
Hi there!!
I don't have any suggestions for childcare but we go to Partners In Pediatrics in Brooklyn Park and love it there. They have other locations including one in Maple Grove which may be closer for you. Most of our friends bring their children to one of the PIP clinics. www.pipstop.com

Check with your insurance...that's partly how I did it. I got a recommendation off the bump for a Pediatrician and then I went to the medica website and did a "find a doctor" search and found that my Pedi was covered by my insurance and what hospital they rounded at...which I really was interested in. I'd heard great things about the clinic but loved that they rounded at the hospital I wanted.
As far as childcare, you could look at care.com for nannies if you're thinking that route, or mnchildcare.org for in-home's and centers...I just happened to find our center by driving around, and am glad I did because it was a new center (so very clean) and the pricing was way cheaper then all the other centers in the area.
Congrats! We go to Partners in Peds in Maple Grove and absolutely love them. They do rounds at Childrens but not sure if they are affiliated with them. Their website has a lot of good info and I can't even count how many times we used Ready Care when my ds was under a year old.
Just a thought but you could always look at a center because you may have more luck with them having ongoing openings vs trying to find an inhome daycare.
Good luck!
Thanks everyone!
C&H, which doctor do you see? You can PM me if you'd rather.
