mashed cauliflower

I do not have a blender or food processor.  Every recipe I have found for mashed cauliflower uses one or the other.  Can I make it without or would it be grotty?

Re: mashed cauliflower

  • Totally..for mini "mashed potatoes" I just steamed the cauliflower (or potatoes or carrots or what have you) and use my garlic press to make small servings. Less to clean. But really - cauliflower is so soft you can just mash it with a spoon...add a little butter and milk and yum!

Bonus recipe is roasting it in a pan and sprinkling some salt, pepper, cumin and coriander on top...

That sounds yummy!  I rarely buy cauliflower, but that makes me want to!
