  • gibblets - what due u exspect frum such smart, edumacated paren ts?  Their to busy carring for there children too take the tim to spell stuff corectly!
  • I said SS, because I'm sure abbreviations like SS, or DH or DD, or whatever are similar to text abbreviations like WTF or OMG or 2day.

I don't really care too much about grammar on here....(or is it to much...KIDDING!)  I don't proofread what I type and most likely make a MILLION errors....judge me....my kids will probably suffer from the way I type on a message board, won't they?

  • It would be lovely and refreshing if adults who are so worried about their kids upbringing and development would be literate.

There should be an apostrophe at the end of "kids," by the way.

  • it doesn't make me bitter

Well done!  This was a hidden test and you win and get an A+ for being first to spot it!!!

  • I really wanted to vote:

There's really no difference between to, too and two and they're, their and there so why bother to learn or teach them?

Because everyone seems to think that's the norm and why be different?

Grrr...such a big pet peeve and you forgot to mention no capitalization needed at the start of a new sentence, or punctuation...whew I feel better now Smile

  • Normal typos and such don't bug me at all, but I do hold certain people (ie: those who are teaching children!) to a higher standard.

I completely distinguish between typos caused by being in a hurry or on a crappy smartphone keyboard and typos that clearly show the author has no idea or concern about the correct spelling or grammar.

Because we all have concern about what Internet strangers think of our intelligence.

Agreed! Although, I'm 100% with gibs. The spelling mistakes on here (as of late) have been a tad ridiculous.

    You probably mean REDICULOUS.  LOLz.

I don't mind the occasional typo or even lack of capitalization, but some things are god awful, seriously, and I do wonder if people are illiterate.
