Can you please suggest a great cookbook for baby's first foods? I have a baby shower that I'm going to next week and my friend is pretty green too so she would appreciate making her own baby food. I was thinking about getting her a baby cookbook, some mesh feeders, and anything else I can think of that would go with my "theme".
Thank you so much for any suggestions. I hope to find the book locally at Borders/B&N or order through Amazon ASAP.
Re: Baby food cookbook?

Ultimately I'm going more of the blw route and haven't made anything from it yet, but it has a lot of great recipes.
we've got this one & love it.

don't bother buying the 'kit' though; regular ice trays worked for us!

Have you ever heard of 'baby led weaning' -- I know it's not for everyone, but there is a book out there on it. The whole concept is that you dont' have to mash and puree and make the food unrecognizable, chunk in it freezers, thaw it and thin it, and so on, your baby just eats at the table with you. I have an almost 2 year old and we did a modified version of it with her (I believe in following your instincts) -- she happily chows down on almost any food I serve her without complaint!
