I still haven't finished typing all of my travel journal up (Yes, I pencil and papered it!) but hope to have that done sooner or later. As well as get some pics uploaded. I took a BAJILLION of them while we were gone. Hoping I can convince at least ONE other person out there to adopt from Ethiopia...that's my goal!
I would love to possibly adopt from ethiopia but from what I hear it is very pricey? Also right now we want a newborn, so we may consider it in the future (like for #3,4 or something)
She looks so happy in your family, I'm glad your boys welcomed her so well. I cannot believe how smart she is to be walking and talking so well that young.
It was one of the cheapest international programs, and still in average cost of what most domestic adoptions cost these days. Not to mention we had her home in less than 9 months from our application. I can understand people only wanting a newborn, but after going there and seeing all of that, I would never absolutely demand we only adopt a newborn. I would feel totally selfish to ever ask that....but that's just me, so don't take it personal. I know people have various reasons why, and adopting a newborn is easier because you can "program" them from day one. I know families who have never had a child feel inexperienced to adopt a child older than a newborn, etc. But there were just so many babies over there that needed homes and she's still a baby, just not a baby-baby. ;-D
