I figured I'd ask you guys since you're all so knowledgeable. 

My ex roommate just found out today that she has a cyst. She's had AF for about three weeks straight. She's kind of freaking out about it so I was wondering if anybody here has had it.

Plus, how were you diagnosed with PCOS? She's been super irregular for as long as I've known her, even when on the pill. 

Just as a side note, she had her first experience with the vag cam today and I just had to laugh. She was so traumatized and completely freaked when I mentioned how often I've had relations with the vag cam.

I had a very large cyst a little over a year ago.  My doctor advised me to be cautious and avoid 'jarring activities' so as not to cause it to burst.  Thankfully, it went down on its own without any complications.

I had a cyst rupture once. It was a painful and very horrible experience and physically similar to my natural m/c, but once it was over I was ok. My OBGYN at the time wasn't very informative, so I don't have a whole lot of advice here, sorry. The whole experience convinced my to find a new doctor. I hope it goes away for your friend soon.

I have PCOS, I went to a regular endocrinologist in college, honestly, to kind of help with weight loss, and they discovered PCOS and insulin resistance through bloodwork.  

I didn't have any cysts that I had to get rid of until I took Clomid.  I took BCP for two weeks and it went away. 

Today they found some more on each ovary, probably from the injectables I was taking, so I'm back on BCP, hoping they'll go away.   They probably gave your friend BCP. (?)

She's been on BCP this whole time, and they did switch them today. She's mostly worried about having to have surgery to remove the cyst.

Ive had several cysts and they suck!  the last one I had was horrible and it ruptured.  I havnt been diagnosed with PCOS.  They are super painful but I was fortunate that they all went away on their own and I didn't have to have surgery.

Do you know what kind of cyst it is?  I have 3 in my ovary (I only have one ovary).  They are not painful and I'm trying to use acupuncture and diet to get rid of them, based on what type they are.

I have dealt with cyst's for as long as I can remember. The information I was told is this: every woman gets cyst's. Each month. And they go away around AF. It's just a matter if they are the problem ones that like to linger around and cause problems.

I can remember as clear as day the one time I had one rupture. I was in my senior year, last day in history class. (this was 10yrs ago) I was lying on the floor behind my teachers desk in severe horroble pain. (about the same as my ectopic) The cyst was the size of a baseball. That shiit is definitely no fun.
