So i'm pretty new to the name board (I think I may have posted one awhile back ago) and I thought I would share the names my DH and I have picked out. After a long and tedious deliberation we came up with:
Lillith Mae
Draven Michael
I know there unusual but if you knew my DH and I you would know they definetly fit. My family really likes the names and so does the ILs. So now i'm ready for opinion of strangers! Be gentle
Re: Finally decided
I love Lillith Mae. Mae is probably my favorite MN ever, but it rhymes with our LN, so we'll never use it. I think Lillith is a beautiful and refreshing alternative to Lily/Lillian/Lilliana.
Draven is NMS, but I love Michael. What's the significance of choosing Draven? I don't think I've heard it before. What does it mean?
My DH use to have that as a nickname growing up. Its totally lame but its from a movie I love and adore. I swore one day I would name my baby that and so I am (if its a boy). I just think its beautiful in general. I thought about spelling it differently maybe as well with a y instead of an E
From a surname (of unknown meaning) which was used in the movie 'The Crow' (1994).
Don't do this. It's an awesome name already, don't ruin it and make it cre8tiv.
I actually really like Lilith, I think it is a nice not too unusual or out there name.
I can not say the same about Draven. Way too out there for me.

Lilith Mae is super cute.
Draven Michael is nice -- "It can't rain all the time"

haha glad ya got it One of my favorite quotes !
I have a student this year named Draven, and I just can't get used to it. It does not roll off the tongue and I have called him every name BUT Draven!
Just some insight from a teacher!
Lilith has kind of a lispy sound to it and just makes me think of the Lilith character on Cheers and Frasier, which is not the best association. Also, is it really the name of a night-demon? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith_Sternin
Draven, like pp mentioned, really doesn't roll off the tongue very well and sounds pretty made-up or like a character in sci-fi or maybe a comic strip. Almost like you're trying too hard to be cool, if you know what I mean.
I think they're both great and agree with PP that you should keep the spelling of "Draven" as is. ?It's unique enough all on its own without changing the spelling. ?:)
?
I LOVE your siggy picture!
Lillith Mae - Lillith is lovely, but I'd prefer the original spelling of Lilith. It's all soft sounds which prevented me from adding it to my list, but I think it's a wonderful name. Mae is pretty classic. I've actually started to like May more...probably because of all the Braedan/Caedan combos. I have to say it matches your boy's middle name nicely - Mae from Michael...spot on!

Draven Michael - A few thoughts...
1. I think of Raven and Drivel.
2. It's a pop culture name. You get points for it not being in the last 10 years though. Most everyone in my HS who went gaga over the movie, The Crow, jumped heavily into the goth movement. Which for my small town, meant faux goth and costume-y clothes and half-assed attempts at real problems when they have a perfectly normal HS student life. My then girlfriend, who was big into country music the year before, went all goth. So to me it means fake. Granted, I haven't seen the movie as an adult, so you my opinion could have changed. But generally, I think this was a cult hit because of the actor's death.
Okay, movie review aside, I'm not a fan. There's something I can't but my finger on, but it's not quite right. That said, if you both love it and can defend it, then go for it. Please don't get cre8ive with the spelling though. Most of us see Ys tossed into names where they aren't needed as attempts to make a name more feminine (see Maddyn post below).
I like the solid middle name he can fall back on if he grows up and goes through an anti-Draven phase.

Hope this helps!
