Do you get a CD w/ your ultrasound?

My anatomy scan is next week.  Does the Dr's office give you a CD of the ultrasound or just pictures?

No CD at ours, just the pics.

I never got a CD, just printouts. I never heard of any of my friends or family getting a CD either, is that some sort of new thing?

Sorry we just got the pics as well.  Maybe you have to go to a 4d place and pay out of pocket for that?  But I do remember when I was on the tri boards, a lot of women from other parts of the country would talk about it like it was the norm.

I hadn't heard about getting a CD of the ultrasound either, until a friend told me to bring a blank one to the appointment.  If it's not the norm in this area, then no big deal.  I wonder if they would allow us to bring our pocket video camera to film the ultrasound screen?

We only got printouts at the two ultrasounds that were done by doctor's order (NT scan and anatomy scan).  We did do an elective 3d/4d u/s at 29w, though, and took home printouts and had links to the entire u/s online (my ILs were unable to join us for the u/s, so DH decided to splurge for them to be able to see it later... we actually ended up being able to download the videos and they're saved to our computers, which is kind of fun).  Some of the packages the 3d/4d place offered had a CD as part of the deal.

I'm sure my OB office and u/s tech would have allowed this!  That's a fun idea!

Without mentioning where I work in Ba LOL, we dont allow taping of our sono's, dont know if all offices/hospitals have this policy, but unfortunately its a law suit issue
