Go4 ~ Carseat Question

DD has the Evenflo Triumph Advance carseat (bought 10/08).  It has the red plastic on the infinite slide harness (up by the shoulders) and it has come detached on the top most part (literally broke) but is still sewn on.  Do you know what I am talking about (it's hard to describe)?  The seat belt is kind of like a V and the plastic is attaced inside the V but has broken...does that make more since?

Is the seat still safe or does it need to be replaced/fixed?  I have an e-mail into Evenflo too but I though maybe your response would be quicker :)

Re: Go4 ~ Carseat Question

  • my guess is that it might need to be replaced, but I'm not sure of that. I'd have to look in the manual.

If it's something that broke with normal use, and evenflo tells you it's unsafe, I'd ask for them to replace it.

  • I just checked the recall list, do you have the model number and year (not the year you bought it but the year of the seat) if there was a recall Evenflo has to either replace it or send you the stuff to fix it.

If it broke on it's own, I would contact Evenflo to let them know and not use it until it gets fixed properly, not just sewn - that doesn't sound safe.

  • haha... oops my bad, I didn't realize Go4 was a page. sorry to step on anyone's toes.
