Anyone using crystallized ginger for nausea?

Just wondering how much you personally need to use to get the nausea under control.

I've been relying on the Sea Bands so far but I can't wear them at work without being called out, so I'm trying the ginger today.

One piece of the ginger so far seems to have settled my stomach, I just wonder how often I'll need to pop one to keep it away...any experiences?

  • I need to get sea bands.

I couldn't find crystallized ginger, so I grabbed Preggie Pops instead. There is no ginger (which surprised me) but they have a very sour/sweet alternating taste that at least gets my mind off feeling sick.

Where did you find the pops?

Agreed. But then again, I don't like anything ginger. If it works, though, I'll get it down!!

I found them at Whole Foods. They didn't help me when I was super sick, but they help a bit with light nausea. Peppermint hard candy helped a bit too when the nausea wasn't really bad.

  • I've been using ginger in every form for morning sickness (which is really all day every day sickness). Pickled ginger and ginger ale works best for me. Putting some fresh sliced ginger in my tea in the morning helps as well. Candied ginger is pretty yummy. Other than ginger, hard Scotch mints have been a life saver. =) Good luck & Congrats!

  • I use it, my accupucturist recommended it. I just suck on a nickel sized piece. I have also trued the preggie pops (in drop form) they are great!
