Have any of you ladies ever taken Reglan, Zofran or one of the other medications for extreme m/s? I wasn't able to keep down water over the weekend, so I called my ob on Sunday and she gave me a prescription.
It was quite a relief to be able to hold down a bit of food and water!
I'm going to be out of town from Wednesday to Sunday, so I'm glad I'll have it available. The prescription says to take it before every meal and then once before bed. I'm wondering, did you take it consistently every day or just as needed?
I plan to take it til I see my ob next Monday, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences to share. Thanks!
Re: XP: Reglan/Zofran
I am on zofran and it says to take it every 6-8 hours, I generally take it in the morning and then on my way home from work around 5. Driving in traffic makes me really sick so it helps with that. I try to just take it when I need it but I sometimes that doesn't work out to well.
I am glad you are feeling better! It is great stuff
I'm on zofran, which helps... a little. It makes me functional, but I'm still vomiting on a regular basis and it certainly doesn't take away the nausea. I didn't ask to try anything else because I heard it makes you very drowsy.
Hope you feel better and that your medication helps more than mine!
Thanks for the responses, ladies!
I'm still nauseous at times, but I'm not vomiting which is such a relief.
Maybe I'll try to skip the nighttime dose and see how that goes. I really only want to take it if I need it, but I don't want to get in a bad place like I was over the weekend either!
ETA: Part of the reason, I don't want to take it all the time is that it does make me super sleepy! But I'll take the drowsiness over barfing my brains out any day.

I am on 8 mg Zofran every 12 hours. It's workingish. I can keep food and some liquids down, for the most part, but I am still very nauseous.
I take it like clockwork, I can tell about an hour before I am supposed to take it that it is wearing off - it wakes me up, in fact.
But still, not vomiting is worth it, and not getting dehydrated is def. worth it.
