My 3 hour GTT came back with GDM. I haven't met with the nutritionist yet, so I'm winging it right now. I've taken my sugars over the weekend, and they are silghtly high.
Anyone have any good meal ideas or snack ideas? What is your favorite?
Thanks!

Re: Anyone have GDM?
I was diagnosed at about 26 weeks. I did my testing 4 times a day. The nutritionist will be a big help with suggestions but it is alot of trial and error. You sort of figure out what your body can and can't take. The key is to stay away from carbs and sugars (all of which I love of course).
I ate lots of protein foods like eggs, bacon, chicken and peanut butter on apples. I used the really thin, low fat bread for sandwiches and was able to keep my sugars within the range.
The glucerna snack and dinner bars were great supplements. Low fat Greek yogurt is a really great snack option as well. They recommend lots of milk, which I don't like, so I got the sugar free choc syrup and that help me get my milk and a sweet treat too.
You will have to start reading ingredients on things you buy. It is amazing how much sugar is in products that you never would think about otherwise.

Ditto pp. I was diagnosed about a month ago. Honestly, it sucks, but I'll do whatever it takes to keep myself and our little girls healthy!
For meals, I focus on proteins and veggies and small portions of whole grain carbs (avoid white carbs and sugars). I am not allowed fruit or milk at breakfast (they can spike your levels). I am alllowed fruit and milk in small portions starting from lunch - onward.
For breakfast, I do lots of eggs (egg casseroles, omelets, egg sandwiches on mini whole wheat bagels, breakfast tacos, etc). I can have a pancake with sugar free syrup and eggs or french toast and eggs, as well.
For snacks, I do cheese and Kashi crackers, cottage cheese and a small piece of fruit, nuts and crackers, peanut butter crackers, edamame, etc.
For lunch and dinner I am supposed to have 3 oz of protein, 2 cups of veggies and healthy carbs (usually I do wheat bread or pasta and a piece of fruit).
Eating out can be tricky, but I've learned which burger places have wheat buns and sweet potato fries. That with a side salad is usually fine. I've also eaten lots of mexican (fajitas), lots of whole wheat pasta (spaghetti, fettucine, etc).
Good luck!
