Hello ladies! My name is Leslie and I guess in a few months I'll be joining the mommy club. I am married to a wonderful man, Randy, and it will be 4 years in April, but we've been together 6. I am 22 and in nursing school, I graduate in December thank God, and we just found out I'm pregnant for the very first time! Funny thing is we stopped preventing last month thinking it would take months to get pregnant that way, from what we've heard from friends, and I got pregnant the day we stopped preventing lol So much for months and months huh?
Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that any advice is appreciated. Speaking of advice, what happens on my first appointment with my OB? Since we found out Saturday I don't even have an appointment yet!
Re: Got our BFP Saturday!!!
Congratulations!
Your first appointment depends on your situation and your Dr. S/He might ask you to come in and take a medical history, your weight, BP, urine etc. Since you seem not to be high risk, it should be straight forward.
Congrats!
On my first appointment with LO#1, they took blood, did an exam, took my weight, urine was collected and went over family medical history. They then answered any questions and wrote me a prescription for me morning sickenss.....It was the longest appointment, and not very fun......following visits allow you to hear the baby's hearbeat and sometimes do ultrasounds, so those are more enjoyable.
Congratulations!!!
My first appt was LONG. Ultrasound (which is always fun) lots of blood drawn, urine sample, weight, medical history, pap smear, pelvic exam. The whole nine yards...
But either way, the wait was worth it cause the peace of mind was wonderful!!! Go back today for #2!
Congrats and welcome!
I haven't had my first appointment yet but when I called about my BFP they scheduled 2 appointments for me. My first I have this friday, it's a phone appointment with one of the nurses who is going to go over my medical history and probably send me for some blood work. My next appointment is a week later on the 24th and I am told I will have my first ultrasound then.
