TTC After a Loss

The only one??

Anyone else here not fully settled down but ttc? My husband is working on the end of his college then we are moving in a little over a year. We weren't trying with the first but after the m/c I realized I really wanted to be close to family during my first pg. Also my work was great because I work for a small office they are like family and were so supportive. Just wondering if I was the only one. I guess military families never know where they will be either, so I'm not completely alone. Just curious.

Re: The only one??

  • DH works full time and is working on his degree, so financially there is some settling to be done, we do have a home though.

  • You're not the only one feeling a bit unsettled. We're living on the opposite side of the world from our families and friends at the moment, which is really really tough. We want a house and stable jobs back home near our loved ones, but we have no idea when that will happen so we decided to try to have kids abroad. Yikes!

  • I feel kind of scared too sometimes but DH wants to go into the FBI so even when he gets an officer job and we move we wont be settled down until the FBI stations him somewhere permanent so we figure its as good a time as any. Beside I'm 2 1/2 years older and the one with a timeline lol And we would like to adopt at least once in our lives so we have to start sometime with our own to get there. Glad I'm not alone in this stress!
  • Am I in the perfect place to be trying for a baby?  Probably not.  But we are in a decent financial place, have insurance and plenty of love.  There will always be something.  Most normal people find a way to work through and past the obstacles.  Since you're worrying about it, I'd say you're one of those who can overcome obstacles Smile
