The complaint against us was UNFOUNDED!!! YIPEE

Last week, bio mom reported us to CPS claiming abuse.  Here is that post:

When I spoke to our family caseworker, she told me that if they thought Lil J was unsafe in our house, then he would have been removed asap, or if they thought it was "minor" discipline problem - then we would have to sign a "corrective action" plan.

Well, neither of those things happened, so I was pretty sure that we would be cleared.

Finally heard back from our family caseworker.  The investigator thinks that Lil J is 100% safe in our home...and the complaint was totally unfounded.

Although we were pretty sure that nothing would come of the complaint, I was still really nervous.  It would totally devestate our family if he were to leave.

Tomorrow marks 18 months that he has been in our home.  And, since he was placed with us just after his 3rd b-day, that would make about 1/3 of his life!!!!

    Glad they dimissed it easily! Hopefully you won't have any more problems from the bio mom.

    I'm glad the process has ended with all of that, but I'm sorry your family had to go through it to begin with! 
    TTC #1 since 12/07 SA 9/08=borderline normal HSG 1/09 found R tube blocked Multiple IUIs both with oral and injectible drugs from 2/09-2/11 Started domestic adoption process in 5/10, homestudy complete 9/10 Failed adoption after home with baby for 2 weeks 11/10 Blessed through the miracle of private adoption with a son, born 6/6/11 (his grandma's bday) 7lbs 9oz 20.5 inches long! So worth the wait!

    I cannot imagine how terrifying it would be to have someone accuse you of something like that. I am glad you were cleared and nothing will come of it!

    that's awesome.  I am glad it's a closed case, even knowing it's untrue it's not a nice cloud to be standing under until it get's resolved.

    So glad to hear that everything was resolved positively!  I've been thinking about you a lot.  I can't imagine how scared you must have been.

    Here's hoping things continue on a much smoother track from here on out!

    Great news!  Hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!
    After 7 years of marriage and 5 unsuccessful IVFs, we have been granted the gift of adopting a baby boy, born 4/21/11.
