So, we're still in the TTC stage, but we talk a lot about names (probably because I'm a writer/long-time name nerd), and girls names have been particularly hard to agree on. Obviously, we have plenty of time, but I'd like to get some opinions on our first name/middle name options for girls.
First names we both love:
Scarlett
Delaney
Melanie
Caroline
Penelope
I'm a firm believer in using family names as middle names, so our options are:
LuAnn (my mother)
Maria (DH's mother)
Linda (my maternal grandmother)
Carolyn (my paternal grandmother)
Emma Jane (his maternal grandmother)
My great-grandmothers: Ensie, Arah Alberta, Mabel, and Glenda
His great-grandmothers: Katherine, Annetta, Michelena
(DH's father's family is somewhat estranged and he never knew his paternal grandmother, but I believe her name was Betty)
I have a variety of first name/middle name combinations on my voting list, but all of them were just thrown together.
Our last name is one-syllable and rhymes with May.
ETA: Other name suggestions welcome!
Re: Need Help With First Name/Middle Name Combo
Hmm... these are tough to put together for me.. but here's what I came up with:
Scarlett Enise
Caroline Jane
Emma Jane
That's all I have.... the others were just too hard to put together IMO.
I would not consider Betty as an option, since she was not an influence in his life at all.
Scarlett Maria
Scarlett Carolyn
Scarlett Katherine
Delaney Katherine
Melanie LuAnn
Melanie Katherine
Caroline Maria
Caroline Mabel
Caroline Annetta
Penelope Jane
I like:
Melanie Maria
