TTC After a Loss

Anyone have an elevated TSH?

Mine came back at 3, so they want to do more testing.  I just read the symptoms of hypothyroid, and wow, it was like looking in a mirror.  I seriously have almost every single one.  This is easily fixable, right?

Everything else looked good though.  FSH was 8.4.  Yay.

Re: Anyone have an elevated TSH?

  • About a month ago my TSH was at 4.3 but we just waited a couple weeks and it came down within normal range.  My DR told me that if it had not come down on its own it would have been easy to treat with medication and that if I got pregnant with an elevated TSH as long as I got treated soon, there would be no risk to the baby.

I hope everything turns out okay for you!  Best of luck!  Smile

    Awesome, thank you!

He is going to test it again (and I guess additional thyroid tests) next week when I go for the HSG.  Hopefully it will be under control then.

  • I was hoping maybe I did, but nope.  I JUST (and when I say just, I mean I just logged out of my medical chart and came straight to TTC) got my results from yesterdays lab work.  The doc was thinking that we might have been able to find a link between dd#1 being IUGR and my mc.  Fortunately (or unfortunately) everything came back normal.  Hypothyroidism runs in my family, so I though maybe that could be something treatable that may have been a difference maker.
