If I weren't using opks ff would have marked o day as cd 16 or 17 based on all other info in my chart. And wow what a difference. Id like to think ff is pretty accurate but.... Maybe not if you're not using many fertility tracking methods
I didn't chart at all when I got pregnant. I used OPKs exclusively and got pregnant on the first try. Granted, I know that I was very lucky and many do not have the same experience.
I just miscarried that pregnancy, so I'm hoping it's as easy my second time around.
I also used OPK exclusively and got pregnant on the first try. I actually ovulated on CD 7 so we would have completely missed it if I had not been using the OPK. We lost that baby, however, and this time around I plan to do more detailed charting including CM and BBT to get a more complete picture of what is going on.
I'm definitely a believe in using both, especially if there's a possibility you don't O at the same time every cycle. It's good to know when it's coming and good to know when it's happened, neither method can tell you both. (I always worried that I got a peak, but didn't O, so still charted).
