Getting ready for a newborn- I have:

6 XS Bum Genius -All In one, hopefully for our newborn.  Moms here have said they were too big on a newborn & didn't allow for the cord  I seriously pray they fit.  Do I need to buy extra inserts for overnight? Hemp sound good?

I really want to do AIO or even better, pockets because they dry faster.

I also have 6 Fuzzibunz one size & 6 Fuzzibunz small.  I know these will not fit a newborn.  Every Mom has told me so.

 It is so hard to prepare a cloth diaper stash for a baby that hasn't been born yet!  I don't know if the baby is skinny or juicy & how anything will fit. 

I am planning on ordering 6-10 more diapers that will fit a newborn & about 10 more for a bigger baby.

How often are you planning to wash?  For us, the number you are getting would have barely lasted us the day.

I suggest a bare minimum of 24 newborn diapers.  Better to have 36.  Are you opposed to prefolds?  You can get a dozen or two of those to help fill out your stash.

And yes, OP, have you considered pf's, at least for some of the time?

I am open to anything.  I have been looking at flip & econobum. to fill out my stash.  I just don't know anything about either of them.  They look too good to be true because they are so affordable.

The BG XS AIOs & the FB OS would have irritated E's cord for sure.  So did PFs.  I'd suggest getting something that has the snap to accomodate the cord.  We used KL0s & Swaddlebees & they both have a snap in the middle for that purpose.
