When will the bloat end, and for how long before I start showing?? lol
I am so bloated, I already can't fit in my pants. I have only gained 1/2 pound so I know it is all bloat.
Trying to decide if I should hold out or just go buy a bella band/bigger clothes.
Re: Ladies that are at the end of their 1st tri...
With my first the bloat finally stopped around 14 weeks and I started showing around 16 weeks. I broke down and bought a bella band around 9 weeks I think. Best decision ever, it saved me from buying clothes until that 16 week mark. This time aroung, since I already have maternity clothes I may just skip the bella band. I'll cross that bridge when it happens...
I've been told that the baby is positioned higher up until 12wks, but from what I've noticed on these boards, most ladies don't start showing until about 14wks. However, it varies and depends on the person.
As far as bloat goes, I'm still very much bloated. I've lost 4.5lbs and can't fit into my jeans. I tried a Be-Band, but it was uncomfortable to me, so mat pants may be in my near future. I say if you are uncomfortable, at least try a band or get yourself some looser-fitting pants. Things are just going to get more uncomfortable anyway, so why wait?
Higher up? This confuses me. Your uterus is still small and stays tucked down below your pelvic bone until around 12w.

Ha! Yes, I knew someone was going to say something because I didn't have the right term in my mind while writing. Sorry about that, I should've been mum on that info. However, thank you for the correction
Depends on how you define "showing" - I'm thin and was not visibly pregnant to strangers nor wearing maternity pants until 20 weeks or so last time. However, I could notice a big difference in my waist line much earlier and did use a Bella band some.
Basically, the bloat just turns into baby belly - or at least that's what happened to me last time.

I would recommend buying a belly band. It makes it a lot more comfortable, at least for me it has. I'm still wearing all my pre-pregnancy pants, but I know my works clothes are all about to not work anymore.
I noticed a bloat around end of 6 weeks, and it still hasn't gone away. I haven't gained any weight, but the belly band has helped a lot!
I lost almost 10 lbs and I havent been able to fit into my pants since week 7. Week 6 they starting getting tight. I am so bloated that I have actually been asked if I am pregnant. I am shopping for mat clothes this weekend. Hopefully I will find some stuff that will last awhile.
Old Navy is having a maternity sale right now.
