Gymboree or Kinder Music classes

Has anyone taken these classes with your LO?  Any feedback?  My little guy just turned 1...should I wait until he is 18 months old?

We go to Gymboree, DD LOVES it!  She is 14 months old and we have been going since she turned 1.  I think you get the most out of it once your child can move (crawl or walk).  Libby isn't walking yet but she tears that place up!  I would recommend it, she has a blast (and it tires her out!).

We did kindermusik when DS was about 7.5 months old. I definitely thought it was overpriced, and kinda strange honestly. I don't think I will do it again until he is older.

I do have friends who have had their older LO's in kindermusik who LOVED it. I think until they are a certain age it is more about mom then the kids lol, and this mom was NOT a fan

I've been doing Gymboree since DD1 was a year. We started with the regular gymboree class and DD absolutely LOVED it!

Once DD2 was too old to just sit in her carrier during DD1's class, we switched to Gymboree Music (2nd child is free until 13 months!). Both girls adore that class too DD1 comes home singing and playing games that we do there, it's great!

Now DD1 is in preschool 2 days a week, so I'll be taking DD2 to the regular gym class like I did w/ DD1. We start this Tuesday and I'm so excited because I know she's going to love it!

I agree w/ pp that it's best to start when they're mobile. Personally, I think it's worth it once they start walking. The music class is great at any age though! DD2 was 6 months when we started that and she got a kick out of it!
