Thinking of telling SD tonight...

So DH and I bought a "I'm a big sister" shirt today for SD and we really want to tell her tonight along with his parents (one lives in CA and the other in FL) via Skype.  I guess I'm just a little worried, I've taken 4 pregnancy tests and I have my first Dr appt next week, I'm a little afraid that if something happens then I will have to call and tell them and tell SD.  I expressed this concern to DH and he said that SD would pick up on our emotions if something were to happen so telling her would happen either way. 

 Also we want to tell my family when we all get together this Sunday for my Grandma's birthday.  We are waiting to tell everyone before we all leave so I'm not stealing my Grandma's "thunder" lol.  Since Grandparents Day is Sunday we are going to get a card for my Grandma that says, Happy Great Grandparents Day and one for my mom that says Happy Grandparents Day and write on the back of the card, "We're Pregnant!!!" and see how long it takes for them to get it.

 What do you guys think? Are we jumping the gun? Should we wait?

    When to reveal your pregnancy totally depends on you and the dynamics of your family. If you're ready to tell there is no reason you shouldn't.

    My thinking was always if the worst does happen I'm going to need my family and they will pick up on my distress regardless. IMO it would be more painful and harder for them to support me to have to explain a miscarriage when they didn't even know I was pg.

    We're telling our parents on Sunday too! We thought it was fitting, being that it's Grandparent's Day. IMO... I would want to tell at least my parents. That way if anything does happen, you'll have some support/a shoulder to cry on. I think I would need some support if anything happened, so we chose to tell early.

    Thank you ladies soooooo much! I kinda thought the same thing, they would pick up on us being sad/depressed/etc and you're right, you would definitely need your family.  Thanks for the encouragement! Good luck to both of you.

    @carissa_danielle-I thought Grandparents Day was a cute idea too, how do you plan to do it? If you don't mind me asking?
