Holy Hell...

I was driving down the street this afternoon and saw a little boy younger than Emerson walking down the street.  I thought surely there was an adult behind him.  When I looked in the rearview mirror...nope.  Little boy less than two years old walking down the street by himself.  I pulled my car over and stood there with him for several minutes asking him where his mom was or if he knew where his house was.  

If I hadn't pulled over, he would have been in the street at this point at the speed he was going down the sidewalk. 

He started running back down the street about a half a block from the direction he came.  Finally some guy in a SECOND story apartment yelled down at the kid to "get back up here and wait on your mom."

HOLY HELL!!!!

I was so close to calling the cops....so close.  I got home and asked my mom if I should go ahead and call but, decided not to.  I hope they watch that kid a little better.

Ugh, completely insane!! I just watched the video from that bus driver incident and all I can say is thank goodness he didn't take his eyes off the road for ONE second. He seemed to be going pretty fast and slowed just in time!

I've known children who have been in foster care because of this. I wonder if that baby's mom knows how poorly he's being supervised.

Wow! We have had some recent stories here in Indy about kids wondering around. A two year old was found wondering the streets at 3am and walked to a strip club down the street. The bouncer saw him and called the police.
