Exhausted and Excited!

It's 2:45am.  I'm up this late because my nose, ears, and throat have been incredibly itchy lately and tonight was unbearable.  I honestly can't remember ever having sinuses itch this bad. I took one benadryl and it's taken the edge off but I'm still pretty uncomfortable.

I'm also on day 27 with one day of very very light spotting and TTC after a miscarriage in May 2010.

So on a whim I decide to take the test. Why not?  It's probably too early anyway but it might give me an idea of which way this spotting is going.

Well Guess What!!!!

 I am over the moon and I don't think it's really sunk in yet. The line was so faint but it was there.   I've had a negative on this brand before and this was not that. I'll likely take another test in a few days just for my own peace of mind.  DH is fast asleep and I'm not about to wake him and don't want to tell anyone just yet but I had to spill somewhere so you're the first to know!

Oh. My. Word!  So excited. So so so so SO excited.   And so tired... and so itchy...

Don't get me wrong, after the heartbreak of May I will gladly take on every and any discomfort if it means a healthy baby, but a girl can still gripe a bit: Nose so itchy!

Thankfully I don't have to be anywhere early tomorrow.

 Now I just need to think of a fun, surprising way to tell hubby.   I'm thinking a dinner of baby carrot, green onion, and baby corn stir fry and steamed pork buns. 

 Now that I've blabbed somewhere, I think I'll try to get some sleep now. Wish me luck!

So, being antsy about the spotting, I basically put myself on bed rest today which made it tricky to go out and get stuff to surprise hubby.  I ended up writing "Guess what?" on my belly and making sure he saw it.  He's stunned and super happy.  Yay!

Finally figured out what H&H means. Thank you!

I'm starting to think I might not be dreaming - one of my supervisors told me the "mom glow" gave me away tonight. I hadn't told anything and he hadn't known we've been trying.  4 weeks tomorrow and I'm having trouble believing it.  I'm planning to take another test in a couple days and hoping for a BFP instead of a teeny little thing that could be mistaken for a shadow.

I think I may have to babble here until we make the announcement to friends and family or else I'll burst!

The sting has started to ease, so I'll say this here:

 I miscarried last week during week 4.  This is my second miscarriage in a row.  Thankfully it's wasn't really painful and my doctor's referred me to an ob/gyn who apparently really knows his stuff.  Hopefully we can figure out why this is happening.

 Maybe I'll be back in a few months with happier news.  Bye for now.
